PhD Candidate
Yiling Fan is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at MIT. His research focuses on using computational modeling to study the progress of diastolic heart failure and design related treatments.
Prior to joining MIT, he received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NUI Galway, where he worked on using finite element method on a wide range of topics, such as welding simulation, fracture mechanics, and cardiac mechanics. His goal is to continue working in the field of healthcare science and do translational research. Outside of the lab, he is interested in playing badminton and basketball.
